Trophy Importation

This procedure does not have to be a hassle, it is quite simple. The key factor is to work with a good taxidermist in Africa and to use a knowledgeable importer of wild life trophies.

If you are importing trophies that require an import permit such as Leopard, Elephant, White Rhino and Scimitar Oryx, a permit has to be obtained from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Office. These forms can be obtained via their website.

Based on many years of hunting experience and helping other hunters with their trophies, there two suggestions to make the importation of trophies very smooth.

A. Use a U.S. taxidermist that is licensed to import trophies from foreign countries. Check with your taxidermist of choice

B. For shipping we recommend Coppersmith, Inc., a company that has many years of experience handling the importation of trophies into the U.S.A.  Coppersmith has offices in many U.S.A. cities.  Visit their website at www.coppersmith.com or call Carol Rutkowski at 888 827-4388.
